The backup seed phrases

A backup seed phrase is a sequence of 12 or 24 words that, written down in a specific order, are used to generate key pairs and addresses, and serve as a means of recovering wallets.

This way, if for any reason control over a wallet is lost, it can be recovered by using these words in the order in which they were originally established.

When a wallet is set up, a random backup seed phrase is generated, from which the private and public key pairs, as well as the addresses, are generated. This is the only way to regain access to the wallet in the event of loss of the private keys.

To recover a wallet using a backup seed phrase, you must enter the phrase into the corresponding software or device and use the encryption algorithm to generate the private keys. This gives you access to the wallet and the crypto assets associated with the address.

It is important to mention that backup seed phrases are not only used to recover access to a wallet, but also to create backups of them.

Therefore, if a user does not remember the backup seed phrase used to generate their wallet, they will not be able to recover their address keys if they lose them.
